Master Distribution Systems, Inc. (MDS) is a diversified holding company which focuses on building shareholder value through the acquisition of a broad range of companies that fit our value-investing philosophy.
Our approach is to identify companies that are undervalued, but which have strong fundamentals, superior management skills and vision. As a value investor we seek out those companies that are not recognized as such by the majority of investors but provide good value.
Our Business Philosophy
Although MDS owns our assets in the form of a variety of different companies, our business philosophy is that MDS is not the ultimate owner of these assets, but that it is merely a channel through which our shareholders own the assets. As we manage our assets and acquire new ones that fit our investment philosophy, our aspiration is that as we build a long term partnership relationship with our companies, we will also build a long term partnership with our shareholders.
Our Investment Philosophy
MDBS' investment philosophy is to identify companies that are undervalued by the majority of investors and by the market.? As value investor we seek out those companies that are not recognized as such by the majority of investors but provide good value.
Our Investment Criteria
We use the following criteria when evaluating the acquisition and developing of assets to ensure continuing growth in shareholders' value:
- Has management consistently performed well in the past?
- Can the company grow without taking excess debt?
- What are Profit Margins? Are they increasing or can they be increased?
- Do the company's products or services have a competitive advantage?
- We must understand the business.
- Can the company be acquired at a significant discount to its real value?
